Our Client , a leading UAE law firm, having offices in Dubai , Abu Dhabi , Muscat and Amman Covering MENA and provide local, regional and international clients with a full business law services, is looking for Senior Associate - Criminal Law  to be based in Dubai n Branch

Responsibilities:

• Representing clients in a wide range of criminal cases, with a particular emphasis on financial crimes;
• Assist the partner and Head of Division to manage the criminal team with a view to growth, including to monitor KPIs and targets and to supervise and train junior team members;  
• Be the point of contact for the criminal division’s clients, particularly for English speaking and corporate clients;
• Advising clients about legal options available and probably outcomes through detailed analysis, research and interpretation of laws and devising a strategy to contend for the client’s position at court or with the public prosecution;
• Assist the team to prepare evidence for presentation at court;
• Draft legal submissions, including briefs and appeals;
• Negotiate plea negotiations, punishments, and settlements;
• Aim to resolve cases as quickly and favorably as possible; and
• Stay up to date on new laws, court judgments, legal articles etc. relevant to the criminal division’s work and contribute to the knowledge development of the team.

Work Experience and Required Skills  

• Minimum ten years of experience including at least 5 years in criminal law;
• Ability to manage and develop a team;
• Demonstrated ability to originate business is essential;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Arabic language skills useful but not essential;
• Exceptional presentation and public-speaking skills;
• Strong critical thinking and research skills;
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills;
