Our Client , a leading International Company , Registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre with operations (presence) in Europe , Asia and Africa , is looking for Senior Information Security Officer   to be based in Amman – Jordan and reports to VP – IT

Job Purpose :

• Design and execute security processes and controls
• Ensure implemented risk measures are operating smoothly and identify and correct possible issues
• Accurately document security guidelines and manage testing and project schedules
• Complete any necessary security reports and audit responses, ensure that the state is compliant with all applicable regulations and participate in statewide working groups for the development state security policies, guidelines, best practices, and strategy

Duties and responsibilities :

1. Design, configure, deploy, and maintain the state enterprise security infrastructure
2. Analyze problems, recommend solutions, products, and technologies to meet business objectives
3. Actively protect state information technology assets and infrastructure from external or internal threats and ensure that the state complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security and privacy
4. Implement firewall solutions to properly secure State data and provide consultation on all new firewall implementations, firewall configuration changes, and projects requiring security operational support
5. Respond immediately to security-related incidents. Document and provide a thorough post-event analysis
6. Recommend best security practices to achieve stated business objectives, advises on risk assumptions for any variances granted, and provides alternatives to achieve desired end results
7. Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies and procedures
8. Monitor systems for any anomalies, proper updating, and patching
9. Maintains system documentation and configuration data for regulatory and audit purposes

Requirements :

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related discipline
2. At least 5 years’ experience with the related field
3. Experience with one or more of the following Next Generation firewalls: Checkpoint, Fortinet and Cisco.
4. Excellent analytical, communication, and time management skills.
5. Familiarity with security software and frameworks
6. Training for 3 industry standard certifications: MCSE, CCNA Security, Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) level 6
7. Fluent in English, both written and oral
8. Excellent PC skills including Microsoft office
