Our Client , A leading FMCG company is looking for Unit Manager to be based in Amman and reports to Sales Manager Division Manager

 

Job Purpose :

 

Lead Sales supervisors and follow-up their sales activities, ensuring their accomplishment to daily and monthly sales targets, develop their sales skills and direct them, coach them to develop the sales volume and areas through a set of sales development plans to increase number of customers, in addition to improving productivity and distribution, Work on achieve the unit’s monthly and annual sales objectives.

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field.  

At least 8 years of experience, 4 of which as Unit Manager/HFS.

 

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Lead a morning meeting with the Accounts Executives and review previous day’s targets that includes: Sales Volume, Distribution, Coverage, visits and month’s priorities, in addition to competition reports.               Daily
  • Lead a monthly meeting with the Accounts Executives to review the next month’s priorities, promotions and plan, and review past month’s results, strength points and opportunities for improvement to be considered during the next month                 Monthly
  • Conduct an individual meetings with the Accounts Executives to review performance, priorities and identification of strength points and opportunities for improvement, and to set a performance improvement plan for the coming period    Quarterly
  • Ensure the readiness of Accounts Executives before visiting the market, this readiness includes: Handhelds, Fact Book, routes, reports templates, and collection reports.  Daily
  • Accompany Accounts Executives through their daily visits to monitor the following issues: checking the month’s priorities, incentives, visibility, and productivity and to solve any stuck issues with the current customers and to find new customers, and to verify and competition related news.                 Monthly
  • Review Customers’ performance in terms of sales volume and turnover, and promote them into a higher ranking, close inactive accounts, and seek new customers       Quarterly
  • Add new customers to the Customer’s database and print the new customer’s barcode, stick the new barcode at the Customer’s premises and raise the Customer’s awareness about the company products and the most appropriate sales plans      When Needed
  • Supervise the process of loading the Cash Vans and printing loading orders and solve any issues that may arise with the Warehouses (HFS Unit only)               Daily
  • Coordinate with the Division Manager regarding any observations raised by the Accounts Executives related to competition, and solve any stuck issues, and provide the Division Manager with Market’s feedback concerning new promotions and priorities.            Daily
  • Ensure that all Accounts Executives leaves and arrives back from the Market as per the agreed upon time.                 Daily
  • Coordinate with the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor on issues related to Vehicles Maintenance and issue Maintenance requests when needed                When Needed
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Company’s car; and equipment, in a safe and secured manner.            Daily
  • Coach and motivate the team towards achieving collection targets related to the unit, and monitor their collection efforts as per the Company’s internal policies, and follow up with Customers and Finance Department to solve any pending issues.  Daily
  • Review the daily distribution report, ensuring that it includes all targets and coordinate with Customers and warehouses to solve any issues and improve distribution accordingly                Daily
  • Coordinate with the Brands Manager to execute Brands Plans in the market, including: visibility, coverage, launching new products, priorities, competition, pricing, and executive monthly plans agreed upon during the Department’s monthly meeting When Needed
  • Present, discuss and negotiate with Customers to sign agreements, follow up on their implementation and monitor their expenses as per the approved budget, such agreements include ( Key Business Drivers Agreements, Advanced Collaboration, and extra visibility plans)                Monthly / Annual
  • Monitor products turnover, recommend plans and actions to increase the turnover of slow moving items.  Continuously
  • Execute investment and marketing plans in collaboration with Customers, such plans include co-marketing activities, and ensure that all plans are executive as agreed without exceeding the budget.        Monthly
  • Review results and performance reports of the past quarter with Customers, and set plans to improve sales volume as a whole, especially for products with declining sales.                Quarterly
  • Review monthly sales targets with sales representatives and update them with the next month targets               Monthly
  • Review monthly sales targets with Accounts Executives and update them with the next month targets in the presence of the sales representatives and the division manager                Monthly
  • Conduct daily Cash Van stocktaking and on periodical basis and prepare reports with the stocktaking results, submit such to the QA department and the Unit Manager and coordinate with the QA for future stocktaking.                Daily
  • Scan distribution and coverage areas in order to find new opportunities in coordination with the Unit Manager                Daily
  • Follow up with the warehouses and distribution supervisors on delivering orders and marketing materials to Customers          Continuously
  • Follow-up on fully and partial returns and damages, investigate root causes, and set plans to achieve the company objectives in this regards.               Monthly
  • Coordinate with the Merchandising Supervisor to guarantee the execution of visibility plans and contracts signed with Customers (Annual and Monthly), and to ensure the Implementation of the Branding Plans          Continuously
  • Prepare and update the Sales Fact Book      Continuously
  • Participate in identifying talent pool in the unit and developing succession plans in coordination with Head of Department and HR Department.               Continuously
  • Participate in the new hires selection and interviews for Unit job openings in coordination with HR Department.               Continuously
  • As requested by the direct supervisor, perform any additional tasks and duties within the scope of work and for the Company’s best interest When needed

 

Authorities

-              Sign agreements and contracts with Customers ( KBD, ACP, Extra Visibility Plans)

-              Recommend monthly targets for sales representatives and accounts executives

-              Recommend closing accounts, promoting Customers and adding Customers

-              Recommend new strategies and plans to improve the Unit’s performance
