General objective of the job:

Study and develop the products and services the bank offers to customers across all segments, introduce new programs, and develop existing programs to strengthen the bank's competitive position, increase its market share, and achieve agreed-upon annual goals in line with the bank's strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Develop plans and objectives related to product development activities in line with the bank's strategy, directly supervise progress rates, and correct any deviations.
  2. Follow up on the achievement of the objectives required by the Product Development Center and provide appropriate tools to achieve these goals.
  3. Continuously monitor changes in the banking market, ensure that the bank's products keep pace with these changes and new requirements, and take the necessary measures to improve and develop products to better meet customer needs and requirements.
  4. Supervising the study of the advantages, limitations, and conditions of existing products and programs offered to customers, evaluating the extent to which they meet their needs and requirements, comparing them with products offered by competing banks, and working to improve/develop them in a way that creates a competitive advantage in the banking market.
  5. Work on developing products and services provided to customers to meet their requirements by obtaining feedback from the telephone service unit and branches.
  6.  Propose and develop new products, services, and campaigns based on customer requirements and the products offered by competing banks. Identify the advantages and characteristics of these products and services, their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, pricing, target customers, and expected profitability.
  7. Prepare studies on the profitability of products and services offered to customers before pricing is approved by the relevant committee.
  8. Supervise and contribute to the preparation and follow-up of product sales campaigns, evaluate the results of these campaigns, and identify their positives, negatives, and lessons learned.
  9. Oversee the periodic monitoring of the performance of the deposit and facilities portfolio and its observations, and develop the necessary solutions to grow the portfolio and reduce default rates according to the targeted rates.
  10. Ensure compliance with specific, written business policies and procedures, and implement systems and procedures aimed at improving the quality of services provided to customers.
  11. Oversee the review and/or amendment of the commission and pricing schedule for the bank's products and services, in line with business requirements and regulatory authorities' instructions, and submit the necessary recommendations to the relevant committee.
  12. Preparing training programs for bank employees, including training materials for new and existing services, in coordination with relevant authorities.
  13. Reviewing and responding to reports from internal and external auditors related to the center's work, working to address problems and observations effectively to prevent their recurrence in the future..
  14. Supervise subordinate employees, meet their professional requirements, and develop their skills to complete their work according to the work plan.
  15. Contribute to the coordination and follow-up process with all relevant departments according to work requirements.
  16. 16.   Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Holder Qualifications

Required Academic Qualifications:

A first university degree in accounting, banking and finance, business administration, or any related major.

Required Professional Certifications:

Having professional certifications specialized in product development based on the approved training needs card (if any).

Required Work Experience:

Banking experience of 9 years or more, and (7) years of experience in the field of product development is required.

Required Professional Knowledge:

- Sufficient knowledge of the Central Bank of Jordan's instructions

- Sufficient knowledge of the regulations and laws related to banking operations

- Sufficient knowledge of the policies and procedures related to the products and services provided by the bank

- Knowledge of various banking systems

Required Skills:

- English language (spoken and written)

- Computer proficiency

- Ability to plan and organize

- Ability to build work teams, communicate, and motivate

- Ability to manage, communicate, and interact with others

- Ability to perform under pressure

- Leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills, and the ability to solve problems
