General objective of the job
Attracting and managing corporate clients, developing multi-product solutions (financing, capital raising, treasury), conducting financial analysis, monitoring credit portfolios, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and Central Bank of Jordan guidelines. Key responsibilities include developing strong client relationships, proposing suitable financial solutions, and staying updated on market trends and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights and advice.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Actively identify and attract potential corporate clients and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with existing ones.
Product & Solution Development:
Develop and deliver comprehensive banking solutions, including financing, capital raising, advisory, treasury management, and risk management services.
Financial Analysis & Credit Management:
Conduct thorough financial analysis of client statements, assess risks, evaluate project feasibility, and manage the corporate credit portfolio effectively.
Strategic Planning & Market Insight:
Stay informed about market trends, competitive structures, and regulatory changes to provide relevant insights and advice to clients.
Internal Collaboration:
Work with internal departments to cross-sell and upsell banking products and services to corporate clients.
Reporting & Presentations:
Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, with Master's holders often preferred.
Experience:
At least 15 years of relevant corporate banking experience.
Five years of senior managerial experience in corporate banking.
Experience in the local Jordanian market and/or regional environment is crucial.
Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write credit reports and deliver business presentations.
Superior people relationship skills and a strong understanding of risk management concepts.
Familiarity with the balance scorecard approach.
Knowledge of banking operations, finance, control, and risk management.
Regulatory Compliance
Adhere to the rules and regulations of the internal banking system and the Central Bank of Jordan.
Stay informed about local banking practices and specific regulations.
Market Knowledge
Deep understanding of the corporate business and market competitive landscape in Jordan.
