Our client ; A leading Bank in Jordan , is looking for Head of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB Head ) based in Amman – Jordan and reports to GM

 

CIB Head is responsible for driving the growth, strategic direction, and risk management of the bank's corporate client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to grow the corporate and investment banking portfolio, optimizing returns while maintaining a prudent approach to risk.
  2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Actively attract new corporate clients and strengthen relationships with existing large-scale clients, providing tailored financial solutions.
  3. Product Development: Oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive banking solutions, including financing, capital raising, advisory services, and treasury management.
  4. Credit Risk Management: Conduct thorough financial analysis of client statements, evaluate project feasibility, and monitor the quality of the credit portfolio in compliance with Central Bank of Jordan regulations.
  5. Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with treasury, retail banking, and risk management departments to cross-sell products and manage group-level risks.
  6. Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors. 

 

Key Qualifications

  1. Experience: At least 15 years of relevant corporate banking experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
  2. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, or Business Administration is required; a Master's degree (MBA) is preferred.
  3. Local Expertise: A deep understanding of the corporate business landscape and competitive market in Jordan is crucial.
  4. Skills: Strong leadership, credit analysis, negotiation, and communication skills (Arabic and English).
