General objective of the job:

To manage, supervise, and provide operational support for devices, systems, and networks to ensure their continued efficient operation. Also, to manage and plan expansion, development, and modification projects within the highest standards of security and protection policies for data and devices, keeping pace with the rapid growth in technology. Also, to oversee the fulfillment of typical and emergency user requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Determine the department's direction in line with the bank's overall strategic plan.
  2. Contribute to the preparation of operational work plans, monitor performance and implementation, address any deviations from the plan, and present progress.
  3. Study the objectives and strategies pursued and ensure the implementation of modern technology that supports their achievement by monitoring technological developments and comparing competitors' services and technologies.
  4. Contribute to the preparation of the department's operational budget and monitor its control.
  5. Manage all department activities and monitor its achievements.
  6. Provide advice and guidance in evaluating, selecting, implementing, and maintaining IT solutions and projects to ensure that investment is directed toward strategic objectives.
  7. Negotiate with suppliers and review contracts and agreements based on performance levels, in cooperation with the relevant administrative bodies within the bank.Conduct ongoing marketing visits to existing and new customers to expand the customer base and achieve desired objectives.
  8. Determine the department's IT resource needs.
  9. Manage all department assets, ensure optimal utilization of IT resources, and ensure the availability of alternatives within the bank.
  10. Ensure the level of service provided by the department to all internal and external customers.
  11. Continuously evaluate the department's tasks and functions to ensure proper distribution, workflow, and performance in accordance with policies and in coordination with relevant authorities.
  12. Communicate with the bank's departments and business units, informing them of plans and projects, and keeping them informed of technical developments.
  13. Continuously monitor developments in banking technologies and solutions.
  14. Ensure the bank's IT compliance with the requirements of the Central Bank and regulatory authorities by implementing projects within the specified timeframe.
  15. Evaluate the bank's IT system and ensure its compatibility and adherence to the latest technological developments.
  16. Oversee compliance with alternate site requirements and the contingency plan.
  17. Submit reports on the department's achievements to senior management.
  18. Participate in executive management committees as assigned in this regard and in accordance with the instructions of regulatory authorities.
  19.  Review and respond to internal and external auditors' reports related to the department's work, and follow up on addressing problems and observations effectively to prevent their recurrence in the future.
  20. Ensure that the department's daily operations are conducted in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
  21. Oversee the setting of objectives for the department's employees, in collaboration with the directors of the affiliated centers, and provide administrative supervision, evaluate their performance, and allocate leave to ensure efficient workflow.
  22. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

 Job Holder Qualifications

Required Academic Qualifications:

First university degree in information systems, computer engineering, computer science, or any related major

Required Professional Certifications:

Specialized professional certificates based on the approved training needs card (if any).

 Required Work Experience:

Comprehensive practical experience (12) years or more, and (10) years of experience in the field of information technology and project management is required.

 Required Professional Knowledge:

- Global standards and criteria

- ITIL methodologies and service delivery

- Sufficient knowledge of IT infrastructure components

Required Skills:
