Job Summary

The Procurement Senior Manager (Direct Materials/FMCG) will spearhead the procurement operations and strategy, focusing on sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This high-impact leadership role oversees the end-to-end procure-to-pay process, ensuring business continuity, quality standards (HACCP/ISO), and regulatory compliance in Jordan. 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company growth, focusing on agricultural, chemical, and packaging materials.
  • Negotiation & Cost Control: Lead high-level negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms, driving Value Improvement Programs (VIP) and cost-saving initiatives to optimize margins.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain a robust supplier base (local and international), managing performance, compliance, and resolving supply issues.
  • Supply Chain & Demand Planning: Coordinate with production and planning departments to manage inventory levels, prevent shortages, and optimize working capital.
  • Quality Compliance: Ensure all raw materials comply with food safety standards, ISO regulations, and local Jordanian regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply risks to inform procurement decisions. 

 

Required Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Food Science.
  2. Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong experience within the Food & Beverage or FMCG manufacturing industry is essential.
  3. Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Expertise in International Commercial Terms (Incoterms), LC's (Letters of Credit), and freight management.
  • Languages: Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).
