Our Client , A leading International Company , is looking for Senior Operations Manager – Events and Exhibitions to be based in Riyadh – KSA
Employment: Full Time
• To produce well organized, cost effective exhibitions • Work with the selected third party contractors to ensure smooth delivery of the events • To manage and develop best practice throughout the operations team in the provision of support across the Middle East. • To drive operational synergies across all exhibitions in the Middle East.
our Key Duties and Responsibilities will be: • In conjunction with the Vice President appoint contractors and monitor performance thereby ensuring that dmg world media obtains quality service at a competitive price. • Ensure the best administrative system is in place in order for professional, efficient exhibitions to be produced. • Ensure procedures and systems are in place for the production of online exhibitor manuals in order for exhibitors to have adequate information for their participation in our events. • Ensure procedures are in place for the monitoring of all information that has to be sent in from the exhibitors in order to ensure a smooth and trouble free exhibition. • Maintain good knowledge of contractors and venues (used) in order to evaluate the services and facilities that are available within the industry. • Ensure the team has secured all exhibitor plans and that those plans meet the health and safety regulations required by the venues in which we operate • Improve organizer/exhibitor relationships with the objective of providing a customer focused service. • Manage and develop the Operational elements of the event budgets, as agreed by the Vice Presidents. • Provide support to sales, marketing, sponsorship and Exhibition Directors in order to ensure smooth running of event logistics. • Supervise operations team so as to create best possible exhibitor relationships and show management. • Work to create an enjoyable, must see experience for visitors. • Ensure training is provided where necessary. • Manage time between the three offices to ensure the teams have an equal chance to network with Operations Requirements :
• Experience of organizing large scale events Internationally, preferably in the Middle East – both exhibition and conference experience • First class communication skills – both oral and written • Experienced in dealing with International Health and Safety standards with trade exhibition venues • Able to manage suppliers to maximize their service levels and still maintain good working relations • Knowledge of freight forwarding regulations • Understanding of on-line exhibitor manual software • Knowledge and experience of floor plan management and optimization • Strong budget management skills • Experience in man management, coaching and team development • Strong planner – able to manage complex tasks over a defined period • Experience in report writing and management summary documents
